Annual Meeting

The 2024 Annual Business Meeting of the State Retirees Association is scheduled for April 17, 2024 and will be held at Seawell’s on Rosewood Drive in Columbia. Registration will begin at 9 AM and the meeting will start at !0. 

A lot has happened over the past year, some good and some bad, so we have asked the Executive Directors of PEBA and the Investment Commission to join us.  Also planning to attend will be Nancy Ornduff of Empower.  So do plan to join us and get your questions answered.

We will have a keynote speaker this year, former Senator Joel Lourie and we have invited Senator Nikki Setzler to join us as well.  You may have read that Senator Setzler has decided to not run for office again and we will miss him. He has been a friend and a supporter of public employees and retirees for many years.  With his leadership and tenacity, we have made great progress addressing many of the problems faced by the Retirement System.  Since this is an election year there may be other guests as well.   

So, as I've already said, do plan to join us for an interesting and informative program and a good meal.

Registration is $10.00 per person and you can register at the door.
